Nora Schutte

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Nora is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges. She has a particular clinical interest in eating disorders, maternal mental health, and complex trauma, and brings a steady, compassionate presence to clients facing overwhelming or sensitive life circumstances.

Nora understands that struggles with food, body image, pregnancy loss, adoption, divorce, migration, or identity transitions are rarely “just one issue.” They are layered, emotional, and deeply personal. Her work addresses not only symptoms, but the underlying patterns that keep clients feeling stuck.

She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and integrates evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems work, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions. This allows her to tailor treatment to each individual’s needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.

Nora has completed specialized training in:

  • Eating Disorders, including ARFID, GLP-1 related concerns, and Disordered Eating Awareness

  • Maternal Mental Health

  • Human Trafficking

  • Functional Assessment (DCF: CFARS & FARS)

  • Telemental Health Practice

Clients often describe Nora as thoughtful, grounded, and collaborative. She balances empathy with gentle accountability, helping individuals move from insight into action.

If you are looking for a therapist who provides both warmth and clinical depth, Nora is committed to walking alongside you toward meaningful, sustainable change.
